Hi guys so glad to finally get to meet you, I want to thank my sister and friend Yinka for having me here its really a privilege.

After a period of thought and reflection, I’ve been able to come up with a topic for my post today, I wanted to be very practical such that everything I say here can be applied in our day to day lives.

I believe everyone was put on this earth for a reason, and that reason is usually greater than we can imagine, its usually so big that we need God in order to accomplish it. But the problem is that most people settle for LESS.

Ever heard the phrase “I cannot come and kill myself”?

I see that phrase as a sign of disbelief in the power of God

1cor 2: 9 (NIV)

“No eye has seen,

No ear has heard

No mind has conceived

What God has prepared for those who love him”

But this is what verse 10 says

“But God has revealed it to us by his spirit.

The spirit searches all things even the deep things of God”

I had the privilege of meeting a great man that I consider my mentor, A very successful CEO of a multinational Insurance company, father and Christian. I wanted to pick his mind and just gain wisdom from is life and experiences.

These are a few things he had to say about being successful and realizing your full potential;

  1. Everyone has greatness in them. But it always depends on how far you can see.
  2. What ever you do, make sure you’re the best, life doesn’t honor mediocre people.
  3. The morning is when destiny is decided, Command your day with your morning.
  4. There’s a level you get to in life where you have to bow down to something, Make sure that person is Jesus.
  5. Don’t be afraid to be uncommon, uncommon people rule the world
  6. Don’t procrastinate your life
  7. Don’t dress and act for today, Dress and act for tomorrow.

You see life is very spiritual, everything that happens in the physical first happens in the spiritual and that’s why having fellowship with God is very important if we want to fulfill our destiny

Let’s explore some of the things that will help us fellowship with God

Prayer is a channel where man is able to communicate with God. when we pray God reveals our true state to us, he reveals who we really are to us. It is also a means by which we pick the mind of God, A lot of things happen during prayer especially when praying in the spirit; We become bold, Our faith increases ,We gain revelation etc.

We have to speak to God and ask him to tell us the reason he created us.

The bible is the word of God, it gives us insight about how God speaks, His mindset, what he thinks about us and most importantly who we are in him.

God has said something about you, the only thing you need to do is find it in his word Jer. 1:5

The presence of God is one of the most important avenues of fulfilling destiny, it’s the presence that transforms you and changes you into what you should be (like Jesus)

When we worship, God comes down to inhabit the praises of his people Ps. 22:3

You see, when a manufacturer creates a product, he makes that product to solve a specific problem, the only reason that product was made was because there was a need, therefore that product was tailored according to the need it was “destined” to solve. So also God is our creator and he made us to solve a problem, we need to ask him to show us what exactly that problem is, because that’s what we were created to solve. Prov. 18:16

Let us try to ask God for help in discovering our destiny and purpose. A life without direction will be very very unfulfilling.

I pray that as you ask and seek God he will reveal your destiny to you.

Hi guys, sure we all are doing great, I have had to procrastinate this post for a while now, but guess what, “you are reading it on your phone already”.
Straight into business, I would love to ask, when you think of Sodom and Gomorrah, what comes to your mind?
God’s wrath and fiery judgment? OR God is out to destroy sinners?

The truth is that God was not all out to judge the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. He was not on a sin hunt. He was, in fact, on a righteousness hunt. SELAH!!

If God was on a sin hunt, He would not have allowed anyone to stop Him. But we know that He let Abraham in on what He was about to do and even allowed Abraham to entreat Him.
Abraham asked God if He would destroy Sodom if He could find 50 righteous people there. God’s reply was, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.” (Genesis 18:26) Abraham then asked God if He would destroy the city if there were only 45…40…30…or 10 righteous. And each time, God’s reply was that He would spare the place for the sake of the righteous.
We all know that Abraham stopped at 10, But I am of the believe that If he had gone down to just one righteous man, God’s reply would have been the same because He was on a righteousness hunt.
Now, if God was not all out to destroy then, how much more today, when God has already judged our sins in the body of His Son? Under a new and better covenant. At the cross, Jesus exhausted all of God’s fiery judgments until there was no more fire of God’s wrath left for us, Guess what he said afterwards “IT is finished”.
Today, God is not judging us for our sins because He has found the righteousness of the one Man—Christ Jesus. So do not let anyone tell you that God judges you for your sins and punishes you with cancer, car accidents, business failures or brokenness. God would be unjust if He punished the same sins twice—in Jesus’ body and then in yours.
Have you ever felt condemned because of the bad thoughts you have had? You could be praying suddenly a dirty thought enters your mind. Actually, it is the devil who puts such thoughts in your mind. Then, he steps back, looks at you and knocks you on the head, saying, “How can you call yourself a Christian and still think such thoughts?”
You see, God wants us to bring “every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”. Now, we are to focus on Christ’s obedience and not our own obedience!
What is “the obedience of Christ”? It is His obedience at the cross, where “by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous”. (Romans 5:19) Jesus shed His blood for us at the cross. This means that when our thoughts condemn us, we are to focus our thoughts on Jesus’ obedience at the cross.
Dear friend, the devil can only make inroads into our minds when he gets us to focus on our obedience instead of Christ’s obedience. His strategy is to point us to our obedience or the lack of it to determine our standing before God. But just as our position as sinners is not based on what we do, but what the first Adam did, in the same way, we are forever righteous today not because of what we do, but because of what Christ did on the cross.
So the next time your thoughts seem to condemn you, say; “I am righteous and my righteousness has nothing to do with my obedience. Jesus’ obedience at the cross made me righteous.”
Yes, all God is looking for is a righteous man but guess what, Jesus is that righteous man, so God doesn’t see you, all he sees is Jesus, that is why we pray in the name of Jesus, Remember, “the name of the Lord (Jesus) is a strong tower, the righteous runs into it and they are saved”. Now, for someone to run into something or someplace, that means there is an opening and space for a someone to stay. This same Jesus decided to be our ticket of righteousness into this same name that is a strong tower. Halleluyah!!
Dear Beloved, God is on a righteous hunt and not in search of sinners, And Just like God wouldn’t have destroyed Sodom because of one right standing man (Abraham), God Can not destroy us because of one right standing man (Jesus).
God is so kind that He had to come as a man to Save Mankind
N.B: The gospel is not just good news, it is an almost too good to be true News, i.e E remain small we no for believe am.
